The start of a new week...

This weekend was jam packed full of sightseeing, train adventures and of course EATING. Dad left this morning, sad to see him go - definitely feels odd being in Asia now all on my own but the weeks are busy with training and only 2 weekends left in Taipei and loads of places I still want to explore. As I posted before, we hit up Taipei 101 Friday night and we also went to the Maokong gondola with a breathtaking view of the surrounding area and the Chiang Kai Shek Shapely Building – another exquisite sight to see. I got a good grasp of the transit system this weekend so there will be many more adventures to come! Missing you all back home - send me a note if you have the time, I relish in any form of English conversation over here haha!
Street Festival right outside hotel - went all through the night and day

Famous Dumpling restaurant - Tom Cruise visited and it was a minimum 2 hr wait. Michael told the host Dad was a relative of Tom Cruise and she set up a special table for us - HAHA - kidding but we did get in much sooner than 2 hours thanks to Michael pulling some strings for us.

The dumpling factory

Each dumpling has 18 turns at the top to be made precisely

The guard at the memorial park - they have 1 hour standing shift in those uniforms, no movement. Talk about discipline in +38C weather no AC.

Qi Gong in the Park!

Incredible view from the gondola

Some much earned beers at the top - we were all dripping with sweat.

Crazy cat lady had to take a picture of this cafe of course!

Tea house at the top

Green Tea farm at the top of the mountains

Adventures at the Main Station

Feels Like 39C - there is no exaggeration in that - even I was hot!
