Tuna Fish Market - Tokyo

The market was incredible. We had to be there by 3:30am at the latest, they let 120 people in to see the auction that begins at 5:25am. So from 3:30-5:25am we a herded into a tiny room (standing room only) and we wait until they let us wind through and find our way to the auction floor. I think they keep us in there for so long in a less than well ventilated room to show us a glimpse of what the fish feel like being trapped in a net...haha or at least that's how I justified it to myself! Well worth it though - hope the pictures capture some of it!

3 hour wait for this little sushi stand - but worth EVERY minute - obviously the best Ahi sushi I have ever and probably will ever have.

So much styrofoam waste - mound was taller than the buildings

Check out that rig!
